I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by a student of mine that faces the many challenges of T1D everyday, Amy. She has all the regular teenage issues and student expectations but on top of that has to deal with monitoring her blood glucose levels constantly. Her T1D likes to challenge her and puts her through what seems like torture at times. She remains positive and faces her daily challenges head on. She also mentors others dealing with T1D. Her determination to succeed in everything she does and to also help others impacted by diabetes is inspiring.
I would also like to support the work of JDRF Australia and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in JDRF Jump to Cure Diabetes (yes that means I will be jumping out of a plane). Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about JDRF Australia, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
